AJH Cross Country Opens Season at SWC Preview

The Amherst Junior High School cross country teams kicked off their season at the Southwestern Conference Preview Meet on August 23. Logan King Rivera led the boys' team and finished 4th out of 117 runners. Isaac Locker, Ben Heinowski, Michael Lauer, and Alec Wenger also scored for the Comets. The boys placed 4th out of 8 SWC teams.

Mia Kothe led the girls' team and finished 4th out of 116 runners. Elyse Sixbey, Taelyn Nida, Lillian Tenorio, and Ryleigh Mull also scored for the Comets. The girls placed 3rd out of 8 SWC teams. The Comets will be back in action at the Avon Lake Early Bird Invitational on August 30.
