Boys Basketball beats Lorain 70-59

Boys Basketball picked up a home win over Lorain on Tuesday night, pulling away in the second half for a 70–59 victory.

The Comets were tied 18–18 after one quarter and held a slim 34–31 lead at halftime before turning up the defensive pressure in the third quarter. Amherst outscored Lorain 16–9 in the period to take a 50–40 advantage and maintained control the rest of the way.

Stanley Robinson led all Comet scorers with 20 points, while David Dudziak added 15 points. Andrew Balicki finished with 10 points.

Amherst will return to action next Tuesday (12/30/25) when the Comets host Keystone at Steele High School for the Coach Shaw Classic.
