Boys Basketball defeats Fairview in Home Opener

Boys Basketball earned a strong home-opening victory on Wednesday night, defeating Fairview 76–65. Amherst led 13–10 after the first quarter and carried a 31–26 advantage into halftime. Fairview tightened the game in the third, but the Comets held a 54–51 edge heading into the final period before pulling away late.
Jack Coleman led Amherst with 18 points, followed by Andrew Balicki with 15 and Stanley Robinson with 12.
The Comets return to action on Friday when they travel to Elyria Catholic.
