Boys Basketball Falls to Avon

Boys Basketball dropped a home Southwestern Conference matchup to Avon on Friday night, falling 76–65. The Eagles led 20–13 after the first quarter and carried a 38–28 advantage into halftime. Amherst battled back in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 53–45, but Avon pulled away down the stretch to secure the win.
Mason Lymer led the Comets with 19 points, while Andrew Balicki added 13. Cole Scanlon finished with 11 points and Jack Coleman scored 10.
Amherst will look to bounce back on Tuesday when the Comets travel to North Ridgeville.
