Boys Bowling Opens Season with Win Over Black River

The Amherst boys bowling team started its season in impressive fashion, rolling to a 2,257–1,567 victory over Black River. Garrett Smith led the way with a strong 397 series, followed closely by Grant Taylor with a 388. Trenton Roberts added a 371, while Ethan Burich contributed a 362 to round out the Comets’ top performers.

Brady Smith bowled a 172 in Game 1, and Zaden Watkins stepped in for Game 2, posting a 175. Amherst also delivered in the Baker games, recording scores of 179 and 213 for a 392 total.

The Comets return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Medina Lanes to face Buckeye.
