Boys bowling claimed the OHSAA Division I Sectional title Sunday at Yorktown Lanes, delivering a dominant performance across both individual and Baker formats.
Amherst posted the top individual games team score with 3,332 pins and followed it up with the best Baker games total at 1,272, highlighted by a high game of 245 in the third of six Baker games.
Individually, the Comets swept the top three spots. Brady Smith earned Sectional Champion honors with games of 202-262-279 for a 743 series. Ethan Burich finished second with a 729 series (257-224-248), while Grant Taylor placed third with a 714 series (232-236-246). They were the only three bowlers in the field to record 700 series.
Rounding out the scoring for the Comets were Trenton Roberts (197-173-211—581) and Garrett Smith (169-211-185—565).
