Boys Cross Country Places 4th at Keystone Icebreaker

The Steele boys cross country team competed at the Keystone Icebreaker on Monday, August 18th, finishing an impressive 4th out of 19 competing teams.
Leading the way for the Comets was senior Asa Nicely, who crossed the line in 18:03.5, good for 14th place overall out of 228 runners. He was followed closely by sophomores Cale Miller(18:36.7, 24th) and Elias Nicely (18:39.9, 26th), who both delivered strong performances.
Senior Matthew Walker added depth with a 37th-place finish in 18:57.9, while freshman Carter Banyas made an impressive varsity debut, placing 42nd in 19:06.4. Rounding out the top seven were junior JJ Gedling (19:30.3, 52nd) and sophomore Nolan Cislo (19:46.1, 60th), securing the Comets’ spot among the top four teams. 
The Steele boys will be back in action on Saturday, August 23rd, competing at Berea Middle School with the race set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
