Boys Volleyball Wins 3-1 at Strongsville

Boys Volleyball battled through a back-and-forth contest on Monday night to secure a 3-1 road victory over Strongsville. The Comets opened strong with a 25-11 win in the first set before dropping the second, 25-18. Amherst responded by taking the final two sets, 25-22 and 27-25, to clinch the match.

Gavin Beckler led the offensive effort with 18 kills and added 7 aces, while James Ludwig contributed 10 kills, 14 digs, and 3 aces in a well-rounded performance. Mason Lymer added 9 kills and paced the defense with 15 digs to go along with 24 serve receptions.

Joe Penano (22) and Hector Mendez (17) directed the offense with a combined 39 assists, helping the Comets maintain balance throughout the match. Beckler (15) and Ludwig (13) also played key roles in serve receive.
