Comet Swimmers Competed against Berea-Midpark

The Comet Swimmers competed against Berea-Midpark on Saturday, with both the Titan girls and Titan boys earning team victories.

Despite the team results, the Comets turned in several strong individual and relay performances. On the girls side, Bridget Sonntag captured wins in the 200 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle, while Sophie Millard won the 100 Backstroke.

The Amherst boys posted an impressive list of event victories, led by Ethan Fantozz, who won the 200 IM and the 100 Freestyle. Colin Reitzel claimed first place in the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke, while Declan Mackowski earned wins in the 100 Butterfly and the 100 Breaststroke. Amherst also swept the relay events, winning the 200 Freestyle Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay with the team of Declan Mackowski, Reed Homolya, Ethan Fantozz, and Colin Reitzel.

The Comets return to the pool tonight as they host Olmsted Falls at 6 p.m. at Splashzone in Oberlin.
