Girls Basketball Wins at Wellington

Girls Basketball with a road victory on Tuesday night, defeating Wellington 55–6 .

The Comets set the tone early, jumping out to a 15–1 lead after the first quarter and carrying a 24–4 advantage into halftime. Amherst continued to control both ends of the floor in the second half, extending the margin to 39–6 after three quarters before closing out the game.

Sarai Hussein-Bey led the scoring effort with 13 points, while Amalee Caldera added 9 and Grace Bender chipped in 8.

Amherst returns to action on Wednesday, January 7, when the Comets come home to host Elyria with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
