Girls Bowling Earns Runner-Up Finish at NSBC Girls Bowling Tournament

Girls bowling team earned a second-place finish at the North Shore Bowling Conference Tournament on Sunday at AMF Medina Lanes, finishing with a team final score of 3,573.
The Comets were led by a standout performance from Isabell Mendosa, who captured the individual championship after rolling games of 177, 231 and 245 for a tournament-best 653 series. Peyton Zakrajsek also delivered a strong showing, placing third overall with a series of 575 built on games of 163, 192 and 220.
Kiara Taylor added to Amherst’s depth with a 553 series, bowling games of 160, 179 and 214 to earn a sixth-place overall finish. So Chapman contributed a 426 series with games of 140, 147 and 139, while Haydn Beischlag rounded out the individual scoring with a 401 series after rolling games of 114, 127 and 160.
In Baker competition, the Comets posted scores of 190, 125, 192, 154, 147 and 157 for a total of 965 pins. Behind strong individual performances and steady Baker play, Amherst Steele secured a runner-up finish at the conference tournament.
