Girls Bowling Hosts Amherst Holiday Roll Off

Girls bowling turned in a strong performance at the Amherst Holiday Roll Off on Sunday at Park Lanes, finishing with a team total of 2,972 pins.

Isabell Mendosa led the Comets with a 627 series, while Peyton Zakrajsek followed closely with a 611 series and recorded the tournament-high game with a 227 in the opening game. Sophia Chapman added a 471 series, Haydn Beischlag rolled a 458, and Kiara Taylor contributed a 439 to the team effort.

In baker play, Comets posted games of 186 and 180 for a combined baker total of 366.

In the girls final, Eastlake North defeated Open Door to claim the championship.
