Amherst Steele (3-0)  6
Westlake  1

Our Lady Comets went east to battle long-time foe Westlake and came away with a convincing 6-1 victory.

The Comets would absorb some early Demon pressure and then made their intent known as a Jillian Markowich corner kick would find the head of Isabelle McGee for a 1-0 lead just six minutes into the match.

Amherst would continue to apply pressure to the Demon back line and goalkeeper and would be kept away until Alaina Alflen would play in Paige Miller, who would calmly finish and make the lead 2-0.  Westlake would continue their stellar defending and we'd go into the break at 2-0.

The second half would find our Comets begin to up pressure even higher as Isabelle McGee would turn provider for Sienna Rebman to slot in for a 3-0 lead.

Just three minutes later Paige Miller would play in Jillian Markowich who would hit a banger from 35 yards out off the crossbar for a whopping 4-0 advantage.

Westlake would battle back and get a goal of their own soon after on a corner kick to make it 4-1 but with 19 minutes left Paige Miller would again turn provider to Julyiet Harden for her first high school goal and a 5-1 lead.

With just under 14 minutes remaining Sienna Rebman would get her brace coming off a double assist from Paige Miller to Jillian Markowich and a 6-1 Comet lead.

Haydn Beischlag would go over 70 minutes in goal before turning over duties to Alex Sixbey.
Defensive standouts again were Grace Bruewer, Ashley Ciura, Emelyn Lowery, Olivia Janosik, Haley Boyles, Alaina Alflen and Mia Heuring.

Amherst improves to 3-0 on the young season and will travel to Berea Midpark next Wednesday to open SWC play.
