Girls Soccer defeats Midview 1-0

The varsity Lady Comets would travel to Midview for their SWC finale and would attack the Midview goal for eighty minutes until the goal finally fell in a 1-0 Comet victory.
The match started quickly and positively as the Comets laid siege to the Midview goal area coming close with strikes from Sienna Rebman, Isabelle McGee, Paige Miller and Julyiet Harden. Although the Comets continued to pepper the Midview goal with shots the Middie backline and keeper made valiant save after another and the halftime break would find the score still knotted at 0-0.
The second half was more of the same as the Comets continued to probe and look to break through a resolute Middie defense until Sienna Rebman would play in Paige Miller, who would finally find the net with just under two minutes left in the match.
The final seconds would be uneventful as the Comets would hold onto the win.
The Lady Comets improve to 10-3-3 and finish 4-1-2 in SWC action, good for third place. They will finish up regular season action next Wednesday at home vs Magnificat.
Playoff seeding is also complete as the Comets will host Eastlake North in a District SemiFinal on Tuesday October 21st at Spitzer Stadium at 7pm.
