Girls Soccer Defeats North Olmsted to Open 2025

The Lady Comets varsity soccer team would travel east to North Olmsted on a hot Saturday afternoon for the season opener for both squads and would head home with a commanding 6-0 victory.
The Comets would lay siege to the Eagle goal early and often but timely defending and incredible goalkeeping from North Olmsted would stymy the Amherst attack until Isabelle McGee would be played in by Sienna Rebman for the opening goal of the match.

The Eagle goalie would continue to make save after save to keep Amherst within distance and we'd go into the break with the Comets nursing the 1-0 lead.
Isabelle McGee would double the Comet lead soon after the break as she would slalom solo through the Eagle defense and deposit her brace for a 2-0 lead.
The next goal would come after a free kick as Paige Miller would put the ball into the danger area and Grace Bruewer would strike it in off an Eagle defender for a seemingly insurmountable 3-0 lead.
Isabelle McGee would next turn provider as she would play in Jillian Markowich and she would slot it home for a 4-0 cushion.
The next two goals would see the same pair combine as Paige Miller would serve it up to Sienna Rebman for her first high school brace and Paige would finish with three assists on the day.
Haydn Beischlag would go the distance in goal for her first clean sheet of the season and the Comets improve to 1-0. The Lady Comets return to action Tuesday August 19th at 7pm as they host the Wadsworth Grizzlies at 7pm.
