Hockey Falls to Rocky River

Amherst Hockey fell 5–2 to Rocky River on Tuesday night at North Park Ice Arena. Fisher Sims put the Comets on the board early, scoring at 2:06 of the first period off an assist from Anthony Palumbo. Vinny Kelley added Amherst’s second goal on a power play at 13:09 of the second period, assisted by Sims.

Rocky River opened the scoring at 3:53 of the first period on a goal by Nolan Toole and added a late power-play tally from Dominic Kovi with five seconds left in the period. The Pirates took control in the second period with goals from Noah Opdyke, Kovi, and Cash Kohler to secure the win.

The Comets return to the ice next Tuesday, December 2nd, when they host Avon Lake at 7:15 p.m. at North Park Ice Arena.
