JV Girls Soccer beats Midview

The Steele JV girls soccer team would venture south to Grafton to take on the host Midview Middies in SWC action and finished with a strong 6-0 victory.
Starting with the kickoff the jv squad would make their intent known that they would pressure the Middie backline and goalkeeper. The pressure would continue to pile until Aili Magdaleno would break the deadlock off a Mia Heuring assist to go up 1-0 at the 25 minute mark.
The Middie defense and keeper would bend but not break until Kinley Johnson would go solo at the 8 minute mark and double the lead to 2-0.
The second half was more of the same with Abby Weidner (31'), Sofia Piwinski(28'') from Kinley Johnson adding goals to make it 4-0.
Peityn Yandura would then make a run into the Middie 18 and get pulled down for a pk that Alaina Kachure would calmly slot for a 5-0 cushion.
The scoring would be sealed when Kinley Johnson would get a brace as she finished off an Olivia Ford pass with four minutes left.
The JV Comets improved their stellar record to 12-1-2 and 5-1-1 in SWC action. They finish up their season next Wednesday at home vs Magnificat.
