JV Girls Soccer defeats Elyria

The Amherst Lady Comets JV squad continued their wonderful season with a big 10-0 vs SWC rival Elyria to get senior night festivities started.

Goals would rain early and often for the Comets as Clara Miller would get two goals in the first six minutes. Following her would be Kinley Johnson who would then turn provider for Cici Defillippo for a 4-0 Comet lead. Peityn Yandura and Olivia Ford would close the first half scoring for a 6-0 cushion.
The second half would be a carbon copy of the first with Sofia Piwinski finding the net off an assist to Sophie Hoffman. Cici Defilippo would get her brace just moments later. Kinley Johnson would then complete a productive night with her second goal to go with two assists. The scoring run would end with Mia Heuring going solo for the final tally of 10-0.

Playing stellar defense to keep the clean sheet would be Mia Heuring, Alaina Kachure, Chloe Pass, Peityn Yandura, Chloe Collins, Isabelle Mendosa and Zada Miranda. Alex Sixbey and Brynlee Angney would share duties in goal for the shut out.

The JV Comets run their record to 7-0-2 and 3-0-1 in SWC play and return to action Saturday evening as they travel east to Brunswick.
