Lila Woskobunik Qualifies for State Cross Country

Congratulations to freshman Lila Woskobunik, who qualified to the State Championships with an outstanding race at Saturday’s Regional Meet.  

The Lady Comet varsity narrowly missed qualifying as a team, finishing 12th of 39 schools competing at Boardman

Freshmen Samantha Falbo missed qualifying as an individual by just 4 seconds, finishing 60th overall. Lola Schaaf (86th) and Senior Nyah Jesko (96th) were next for the Comets, with Juniors Liana Del Valle (105th), Aubrey Brenot (127th), and Rosalie Kapalin (146th) racing well in a field of over 330 runners.  

Lila will race at 1:40 PM Saturday in the Division 2 State Championships in Obetz, Ohio

Amherst finished the year with a record of 131-40
