Reitzel and Sonntag Finish 5th at Avon Lake Swimming Pentathlon

The Comets competed in the Avon Lake Pentathlon on Saturday at Oberlin College, taking part in a unique format that challenged swimmers across all four strokes. Each athlete competed in the 50-yard freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, with the top combined times in each gender advancing to the 100 Individual Medley final.

Senior Colin Reitzel led the boys with a fifth-place finish in the 100 IM, posting a time of 56.68. On the girls side, junior Bridget Sonntag also earned a fifth-place finish in the 100 IM final, touching the wall in 1:08.26.

The Comets return to the pool on Tuesday, January 6, when they host Avon for Senior Night at Splashzone at 6p.
