Softball Beats Lake Braddock

Softball continued its strong start at the Grand Strand Softball Classic with a 14-4 victory over Lake Braddock High School (VA) in Game 2 on Tuesday.

The Comets wasted no time at the plate, erupting for seven runs in the first inning to take early control. Amherst added five more in the second to build a 12-0 lead and never looked back. The offense stayed aggressive, extending the lead to 14-1 before Lake Braddock plated a few late runs in the fifth.

Karina Shuster earned the win in the circle, improving to 2-0 on the season. She struck out six while allowing just one hit.

Offensively, Amherst was led by Sienna Rebman, who went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Briana Blankenship finished 1-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
