Track & Field Earns Podium Finishes at Indoor State Track Meet

The Indoor Track and Field team turned in an impressive performance at the Indoor State Track and Field Championship this past weekend, with the boys team finishing 3rd overall in the state.
Individually, Camden Simo earned a 2nd-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 57'9.25". In the field events, Cole Lugar placed 5th in the pole vault, clearing 14'2".
On the track, the Comets had two standout relay performances. The 4x400 relay team of Ethan Wilhelms, Ben Dotson, Julius Donald, and Ben Thompson placed 3rd while setting a new school record of 3:23.72. The 4x200 relay team of Carter Boone, Julius Donald, Gaige Patton, and Ben Thompson finished 4th with a time of 1:30.83.
On the girls side, Alex Sixbey broke her own school record in the pole vault, clearing 11'6".
The 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams will compete again this weekend at the New Balance Nationals in Boston.
