Vasquez and Percival Qualify for OHSAA District Wrestling

Isaac Vasquez and Jax Percival led the way for the Comets at the OHSAA Division I Sectional Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Austintown Fitch High School.
Vasquez captured the 175-pound championship to earn a district berth, while Percival followed with a strong 3rd-place finish at 106 pounds to qualify for districts.
The Comets finished 8th place as a team in the sectional, where the top four finishers in each weight class advanced to the OHSAA Division I District Tournament and fifth-place finishers earned alternate status.
Trae Thompson (120 lbs) and Mathew Vidovich (144 lbs) each placed 5th to secure district alternate spots.
The district tournament will be held March 6–7 at Wadsworth High School.
