Volleyball Beats Berea-Midpark to Open SWC Action

The Amherst Steele volleyball team earned a sweep in their season opener, defeating Berea-Midpark 3-0 on Tuesday night.

The Lady Comets secured the win with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, and 25-23. Lola Candelario and Kendal Dobbins each tallied 9 kills, while Hayley Russell added 8 kills, 17 assists, and 4 aces. Defensively, Dani Dury led with 33 digs and 3 aces, and Abby Broaddus chipped in 15 digs. Callie Beckler also contributed 17 assists in the victory.

The match marked the first career win for new Head Coach Courtney Rua.
