Amherst’s first set was a testament to resilience and composure. After falling behind 12–3 early, the Comets regrouped during a timeout and stormed back with crisp defense and timely kills to steal the opener. Avon, however, responded with consistent offensive pressure and strong serving over the next three sets to secure the victory.
