Wrestling Finishes 5th at the Perry Pin City Tournament

Wrestling turned in a solid performance on Saturday at the Perry Pin City Tournament, finishing fifth overall at Perry High School.

The Comets had three wrestlers earn top-five finishes on the day. At 138 pounds, Canin Fritz placed fourth, while Javiaun Bush matched that result with a fourth-place finish in the 285-pound weight class. Ali Younes added a fifth-place showing at 165 pounds.

Amherst returns to the mats on Thursday with a home dual against Olmsted Falls. JV matches are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity dual at 7 p.m. under the spotlight.
