Wrestling Finishes 7th at SWC Tournament

Amherst Wrestling finished seventh at the Southwestern Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Midview High School.

The Comets were led by runner-up finishes from Chase Chandler at 126 pounds and Isaac Vasquez at 175 pounds. Jax Percival added a third-place showing at 106 pounds, while Trae Thompson (120), Jordan Hatfield (215), and Javiaun Bush (285) each placed fourth.

In Friday’s JV tournament, Landon Johnson earned a second-place finish at 190 pounds. Third-place finishes were recorded by Brock Bottomlee (106), Darien Dick (126), Broden Lobsiger (138), and C.J. Becraft (150), with Andrew Dick finishing fourth at 138 pounds.
