Wrestling Finishes Runner-Up at Bob Bailey Pool Tournament

Wrestling earned a runner-up finish at the Bob Bailey Pool Tournament on Saturday at Bellevue High School, placing wrestlers in all 14 weight classes.

The Comets crowned one champion on the day, as Javiaun Bush captured the heavyweight title at 285 pounds. Amherst also had four runner-up finishes from Trae Thompson (120), Chase Chandler (126), Canin Fritz (138), and Isaac Vasquez (175).

Additional podium finishes included third-place efforts from Jax Percival (106), Devin Juristy (113), Mathew Vidovich (144), Carter Crawford (150), and Ali Younes (165). Landon Reott (190) and Jordan Hatfield (215) each finished fourth, while Cristian Nieves (132) and Gabe Shumney (157) placed sixth.
