Wrestling Takes Fifth at Dale Carroll Invitational

Wrestling delivered a strong all-around performance Saturday, finishing fifth out of 23 teams at the Dale Carroll Invitational hosted by Clyde High School.

The Comets placed seven wrestlers in the top five of their respective weight classes, highlighted by third-place finishes from Chase Chandler at 126 pounds and Mathew Vidovich at 144 pounds.

Jax Percival turned in a fourth-place finish at 106 pounds, and Canin Fritz matched that result at 138 pounds. Ali Younes also earned a fourth-place finish at 165 pounds.

Additional scoring came from Trae Thompson, who placed fifth at 120 pounds, and Isaac Vasquez, who also finished fifth at 175 pounds.

Comets return to SWC Dual Match action this Thursday when they travel to North Ridgeville.
